Abstract

The author tries to reveal interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary nature of problems that concern historical memory with its forming, revision and activation. The author examines complex interconnections of historical memory on the one hand and studies in history – on the other hand. In this context the author takes into consideration works by historians Vladimir Sogrin, Boris Mironov, Irina Poletaeva, and pays special attention to such items as “sovereignty of the profession”, “сlio-therapy” effect of historical narrative and evaluation of presentism in methodology of research in History. The author tries to define approaches to historical memory in humanities beyond history: in philosophy, sociology, political studies, pedagogy. The author emphasizes the difference between professional values of scholar and values of other professions that effect historical memory considerably (that is writers, artists, journalists, political strategists game designers etc.). In the context of “historical wars” memory about the past is considered as an important factor of information-psychological security of persons and societies.
